The artist Andrey Karpov lives and works in Moscow. He was born in 1959. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. As an artist Andrey Karpov has been working for more than 27 years. He masters various painting and graphic techniques, illustrates books, makes porcelain and ceramic plates, tile murals, and carpets. Karpov’s style is called “intellectual naïvety” by art critics. There are a lot of humor and warm-heartedness in his multi-figure compositions. One can find life easy and pleasant in the figurative space of his works. Andrey says, “As most of us, I often don’t know what’s going on around me. Some situations make me smile, afraid or intrigued. That gives me a new breath of life”.

 

Ironic and paradoxical paintings of Andrey Karpov are popular among gallery owners, collectors and trade buyers worldwide.
